Volunteers from across the country have been honoured by the Churches Conservation Trust during their annual Volunteer Awards – supported by the Marsh Christian Trust and hosted at The British Library in London.

The awards recognised those who had made an outstanding contribution to their local church and community, and categories included:

  • Volunteer of the Year (North, South East, West)
  • Volunteer Team of the Year
  • Fundraising Volunteer of the Year
  • Young Volunteer of the Year
  • Digital Volunteer of the Year

Roisin Ryan-Self was awarded the Young Volunteer of the Year award for contribution to St Peter’s during 2018 through event volunteering and support with social media and website updates. Roisin said: “I feel very honoured to have been nominated by the Friends of St Peter’s for this award – I would urge anyone to get involved in volunteering, as there’s always a role that will suit your interests!”
