St Peter’s is a welcoming self-sustaining venue at the heart of Sudbury that provides enriching cultural and social experiences.
The Friends of St Peter’s
Registered Charity No. 271090
St Peter’s is a cultural venue and Grade I listed building that is maintained and managed by registered charity the Friends of St Peter’s and supported by the Churches Conservation Trust; a national charity that aims to protect historic churches.
Situated on Market Hill in the centre of Sudbury town, St Peter’s hosts a broad range of events, from live music, theatre, exhibitions, fayres and festivals for the people of Sudbury and surrounding areas.
This wonderfully diverse venue, and the events it hosts, is run entirely by volunteers, whose mission it is to keep St Peter’s a place for people to experience more.
The Regeneration of St Peter’s
Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund
At the Friends of St Peter’s, we want to ensure that the St Peter’s remains an important landmark and diverse venue for the community.
In partnership with The Churches Conservation Trust, St Peter’s secured funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund; paving the way for some big changes. This fantastic fund will enable many crucial changes to be made to the venue, including:
- The installation of toilets
- The installation of a mezzanine gallery
- Improvements to the structural integrity of the building
- Major works on the roof and clerestory
- And more…
But the work doesn’t stop there, if you’re interested in supporting St Peter’s and its regeneration, why not get involved?
