We were overwhelmed recently as part of Heritage Open Days when we handed out free ‘Heritage at Home’ packs to members of the community. The packs were designed so that people could take a little bit of heritage home with them and contained everything needed to make their very own Sudbury Silk Mouse. The only condition is that we want to see photographs of these once complete so that we can use them to curate an online exhibition. We’ll soon be contacting all of you to follow up and see how you’re getting on!
On the day we handed out around 80 packs, with orders for more from local arts groups such as C’Art.
These packs were free to take but not free to make, so we are very grateful to the following organisations who made this possible… The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Babergh District Council, Gainsborough Silk, Humphries Weaving, Stephen Walters & Sons, Indigo Ross & Somerville Financial Services.
